[HAVE YOUR SAY] The EU Commission just launched a public consultation on its roadmap for the upcoming Data Act including the review of the Directive 96/9/EC on the legal protection of databases. The Commission is preparing a legislative initiative for Q3-Q4 2021 to ensure fairness in the allocation of data value among actors of the data economy, including in business-to-business and business-to-government situations, without altering data protection legislation.
